‘Laps for Laguna’ charity race boosts West Coast vintage racing calendar

The second annual Laps for Laguna is a joint creation of CSRG and non-profit Laguna Seca Raceway Foundation (LSRF). The early-Fall, unrestricted-sound (no mufflers!) vintage event will feature CSRG run groups and a whole host of off-track special events celebrating many of the enthusiast and marque clubs in the Salinas Valley and Monterey Peninsula, with all proceeds going to the non-profit 501c3 LSRF. Dinner & Discussion with Danny Sullivan, 1985 Indianapolis 500 Winner

At the 1985 Indianapolis 500, a youthful Danny Sullivan attempted a gutsy, inside pass on veteran champion, Mario Andretti. In so doing he took the lead and for a moment it looked as though the pass would stick but within seconds Danny’s world would be spinning. And thus would be born the best nick name in racing, “Spin and Win” as that is exactly what he did. Skillfully avoiding a crash at over 210mph and driving on to win the greatest race in the world.

Join us, May 21 for “Dinner & Discussion with Danny Sullivan” as this true racing hero takes us through the harrowing and ultimately winning moments of his historic, ‘spin and win’ experience of the 1985 Indianapolis 500.

This insider evening will include wine tasting with acclaimed Adobe Road Vineyards and a championship worthy meal from local favorites, Coastal Roots.

Tickets are limited and all net proceeds support the Laguna Seca Raceway Foundation.
